Christopher Keever: Chris is the publisher and owner of Anderson County Visions Magazine. Minus a few years away for college and a small stop in South Carolina for a quick look-around, He is a life-long resident of Oak Ridge. He attended elementary school at Cedar Hill Elementary, Junior High at Jefferson and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1988. He later graduated in 1991 from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN with a degree in Marketing. He is married to Tamara Haverlock of Dickinson, ND. They three children, Alexis (16), Matthew (7), and Rachel (6). Chris wears many of the hats for Visions Magazine, He takes the lead in advertising sales, graphic design, content manager, circulation manager and business manager (when there is money to manage).
Sheryl Long: Other than publisher, Sheryl Long is Visions Magazine's only full-time employee. Sheryl serves Visions Magazine in the role of Advertising Account Representative for Clinton, Norris, Lake City, Andersonsville and North Knoxville. Sheryl is a real go-getter and a true God-send to the Visions Magazine operations. Sheryl lives in Clinton with her two daughters Brooklyn (9) and Savannnah (14).
Jimmy: "Jimmy" is our 1979 Volkswagen Transporter 2, A.K.A. Hippie Bus. Jimmy serves Visions Magazine as our mobile billboard, Christmas parade vehicle, festival booth, kid picker-upper, AYSO team carrier and more. Jimmy was purchased from Ebay and was picked up in rural Virginia in October of '07. As you might have guessed the name "Jimmy" is in hour of two of our favorite 60's musical artists Jimmy Hendrix and Jim Morrison. When you see "Jimmy" cruising around town you can bet he'll be playing some Doors, Mamma's and the Pappas, Jimmy Hendrix, ABBA, The Guess Who or some other 60's early 70's music inside. Editor Note: If you ever see feet sticking out from under "Jimmy".... someone is looking for a ride or a friendly tow.
BUZZ: Buzz the bee is the Visions Magazine Mascot. Buzz's primary duties are as business liaison at local festivals, carnivals, Christmas parades, fun raisers and as spokesperson for the Visions Magazine Partnership in Education (PIE) program at area schools. Buzz is the creation of Manderley Swain of Oak Ridge. Buzz also appears in cartoon format in the ever-popular Find Buzz contest that is a monthly feature to Visions Magazine. Find Buzz is a readership contest were contestants are challenged to find ten (10) Buzz Bees hiddened within the pages of each issue on advertisements. A contestant simply has to mail in a completed entry form identifying all ten businesses that feature Buzz to be entered into out drawing for some really cool prized valued at $200 or more.
